About Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Lying just west of Arusha, Ngorongoro is one of Africa’s most remarkable destinations. At its core is the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera, a natural sanctuary for lions, elephants, hippos and the rare black rhino. The highlands offer panoramic views and are home to Maasai pastoralists. Visit Olduvai Gorge, the ‘Cradle of Mankind’.
